John Anthony White (né Gillis; born July 9, 1975) is an American singer, songwriter, t and producer. He is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the duo The White Stripes, but has also had success in other bands and as a solo artist.
Jack White, aka Jack White III, plays drums, provides lead and backing vocals, and plays his unmistakable style of lead guitar. Born "John Gillis", White began work in the upholstery trade, forming his first two-piece band "Two Part Resin", later renamed "The Upholsterers" after a career he would leave behind. The Dead Weather" band debut was a performance at "Third Man" HQ in Nashville on the 11th March 2009, followed by the single "Hang You From The Heavens" released from the "Horehound" album. The 3 tracks were "Hang You From The Heavens", "No Hassle Night" and "Treat Me Like Your Mother".

The Raconteurs are also known as The Saboteurs. There is already an Australian group called "The Raconteurs". Sites: theraconteurs. Alias: The Racontwoers, The Saboteurs. Membres: Brendan Benson, Dean Fertita, Jack Lawrence, Jack White (2), Patrick Keeler.
The White Stripes, of course, were all about what White once called the liberation of limiting yourself. Though White stretched the boundaries over time, the band was, legendarily, built around a mere three elements: Jack’s voice, his guitar, and his ex-wife Meg’s oft-misunderstood, underrated, occasionally one-handed drumming. White once told longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich that he was mixing a Dead Weather album without automation, which meant he and an engineer had to nail every tweak in real time. When he’s writing these days, White sometimes finds songs that clearly belong with a specific past project – the Raconteurs or the Dead Weather. And, he says, he holds those aside. But what if he comes up with a White Stripes song? He laughs, a little too hard.
Jack White has led one of the most fascinating and varied, acclaimed and derided careers of practically any musician in any genre of music over the last couple of decades. Either you love his gut-bucket guitar-historonics, many whimsical side projects, and penchant for creativity, or you consider him an anachronism; a smarmy Willy Wonka-type, more engrossed in the process and the struggle of making music than honing in on something that merits being heard by the world at large. Then there’s his whole Dead Weather divergence, with Alison Mosshart of The Kills on lead vocals, and Jack manning the backbeat. It’s a lot. So then, with all that in mind, I’ve decided to rank Jack White’s three best albums and three worst albums in all his many different forms and guises throughout the years.
The White Stripes The White Stripes. The Dead Weather is an alternative rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennessee, United States in 2009. They consist of Alison Mosshart (vocals, guitar), Dean Fertita (guitar, organ), Jack Lawrence (bass, drums) and Jack White (drums, vocals, guitar).
